Summer is about here!
I’m seeing summer foods begin to pop up in our grocery store.
The days are getting warm.
It’s time to fight the summer fire with summer foods.
They naturally help beat the summer heat.
This is not an exhaustive list, but most of these foods should be easy to find in your grocery store.

Pick a few and mix them around. Maybe one day bell pepper and watermelon. Maybe another day cucumber and strawberries. You can puree them to make them easier for your dog to digest.
Eat some yourself for a nutritional boost and an instant cool down when it’s hot.
*Remember to not consistently feed raw cruciferous foods like broccoli, cauliflower, collard greens, spinach, kale, chard, cabbage and Brussels sprouts. They can block the thyroid. You can play it safe by steaming, boiling or roasting them.
*All of the herbs and spices support the immune system and fight viruses and bacteria. A little can go a long way. Lightly flavor.
*Cilantro cleans the blood and Dandelion cleans the liver.
*Can’t find fresh? Try the freezer section.
Remember – when your dog’s body is in tune with the seasons, it is healthier and able to resist infections much easier. Same goes for us.
Put That Pep Back In Your Dog’s Step,
